Good Friday, New Jersey!

We are waking up below freezing as we close out the week and prepare for the weekend across Newark and the greater North Jersey region.

Temperatures are sitting at 31 degrees in downtown Newark this morning.

After a long week of digging out from that powerful blizzard, it’s nice to finally see calmer conditions settling in. The good news? No major weather worries today.

Expect sunny skies and a beautiful, bright day, though it will stay on the chilly side.

It’s still winter, after all. If you’re heading out early, grab the coat and maybe gloves for the morning, but we’ll see some improvement by the afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service, today will be sunny with a high near 46 degrees.

Winds will remain calm early before becoming south around 5 mph later in the day.

Tonight, skies turn partly cloudy with a low around 29 degrees and light south winds.

Saturday is expected to feel even better, giving us a much-needed pleasant stretch as we continue cleaning up from the storm.

Have a great Friday, NJ and enjoy the sunshine.
