Woman Charged with DWI After Mother, Two Children Struck Outside NJ Township Preschool

Authorities say a 68-year-old driver was under the influence when she struck and injured a mother and her two young sons as they were leaving a preschool in Freehold Township Friday afternoon.

According to the Freehold Township Police Department, Angela F. Arrigo, of Manalapan, has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child and assault by auto in connection with the incident.
 

Police said the crash occurred shortly after 3 p.m. at Bloom Academy, located on Pond Road. 

Investigators determined Arrigo was intoxicated at the time of the collision and issued her a summons for driving while intoxicated (DWI).
 

The mother and her two children sustained injuries in the crash.
