Pemberton Man Sentenced for Breaking Into Residence, Threatening Ex with Knife

Authorities in Atlantic County announced that on Friday, February 13, 2026, Eddie Ward, 47, from Pemberton, was sentenced to three years in New Jersey State Prison by the Honorable Joseph Levin, J.S.C.

ACPO officials stated that on May 12, 2025, Atlantic City Police Department officers responded to a residence in the Chelsea neighborhood of Atlantic City in reference to a male breaking into his shared residence with his ex-girlfriend.

After Ward entered through the window, he grabbed a knife and threatened to kill two occupants in the home, Atlantic County officials said. 

ACPD officers arrested Ward on the scene, according to Atlantic County officials. 

ACPO authorities say that on September 11, 2025, Ward pleaded guilty to third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
