Authorities in Atlantic County announced that today Bobbyjean Orak, 31, from Hamilton, Mercer County, pleaded guilty to third-degree eluding in front of the Honorable Joseph Levin, J.S.C.

The plea calls for a recommended sentence of three years in New Jersey State Prison, ACPO officials say.
According to Atlantic County officials, on July 24, 2024, Absecon Police Department officers observed a Nissan Sentra driving 35 m.p.h. over the speed limit on Absecon Boulevard.
The officer moved behind the Nissan and activated his lights and sirens in an attempt to pull over the driver, Atlantic County officials stated.
The driver ignored the officer’s signals to stop and increased his speed dramatically, ACPO officials said. The driver had his windows down, and the officer was able to get a description of the driver.
The officer ran the Nissan’s registration and identified the driver as Orak, according to Atlantic County officials. Absecon Police Department officers contacted the Hamilton Police Department in Mercer County.

Atlantic County authorities said the Hamilton Police Department advised that they have received numerous phone calls from other South Jersey police departments reporting similar incidents involving Orak in the Nissan.
Sentencing is scheduled for May 22, 2026.
