Two people were killed late Tuesday night in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 76 in Gloucester City, authorities said.

According to the New Jersey State Police, the crash occurred near milepost 1.2 in the northbound lanes. Investigators said the driver lost control of the vehicle, which left the roadway to the right.
Police said the car struck snow and ice before becoming airborne, traveling over a guardrail and crashing into a light pole and a nearby wall.
The impact caused both occupants to be ejected from the vehicle.
The driver, Angel Roque, 25, of Camden, and an 18-year-old passenger, Lizvette Alvarado, of Paulsboro, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred roughly one mile from the Walt Whitman Bridge.
The incident remains under investigation, and no additional details were immediately released.
