An investigation is ongoing following a commercial fire reported Friday afternoon in Franklin Township.
According to Acting Public Safety Director Lloyd Fredericks, officers from the Franklin Township Police Department responded at approximately 2:46 p.m. on Friday, January 30, to a business located along Route 27 after receiving reports of a fire inside a commercial kitchen.
Firefighters from the Griggstown, Little Rocky Hill, and Franklin Park fire companies responded and were able to extinguish the blaze.
One employee of the business sustained a minor injury and was treated at the scene by RWJUH EMS.
The Franklin Township Fire Prevention Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
