Government offices across Morris County will be closed on Monday, January 26, as hazardous conditions from an ongoing winter storm continue to impact the region.

County officials say heavy snow has blanketed much of Morris County, with several areas already reporting more than eight inches of accumulation.
Forecasters expect additional snowfall and periods of sleet through the evening hours, with total accumulations potentially reaching between 10 and 14 inches before the system tapers off overnight and exits late Monday morning.
Road conditions remain dangerous as snowfall continues and plow crews work to keep up with ongoing accumulation.
Officials are urging residents and county employees to avoid travel unless absolutely necessary, emphasizing that limiting traffic will allow emergency responders and road crews to operate more safely and efficiently.
Residents are encouraged to stay informed as conditions evolve by following the Morris County Office of Emergency Management on Facebook and signing up for countywide emergency notifications through AlertMorris.

Officials continue to monitor the storm and say updates will be provided as weather and road conditions change.
