Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 15-year-old boy from the city.

Police are searching for Eduardo Barraza, who was last seen on Saturday, October 4, 2025, in the area of 600 Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Boulevard in Newark.
Eduardo is described as Hispanic, standing approximately 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighing about 115 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
At the time he was last seen, he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a white T-shirt, and black sweatpants.
Authorities say Eduardo is known to frequent the area of Summer Avenue and Highland Avenue.
Director Miranda urges anyone who may have information about Eduardo Barraza’s whereabouts to contact the Newark Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS.
