Authorities in Newark request the public’s help identifying the male suspect pictured below, who took a box containing $500 in coins from a fast-food restaurant on January 11.

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. stated that an employee at Royal Chicken & Biscuit, located in the 100 block of Market Street, left the box of quarters unattended on a counter.

Minutes later, at approximately 1:50 p.m., the suspect was captured on surveillance video taking the box and leaving, according to Newark officials.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information on the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
