Several individuals are in custody following a police stop involving a stolen vehicle that led to weapons charges in North Arlington on Tuesday night, authorities said.

According to the North Arlington Police Department, officers stopped a vehicle reported stolen out of Jersey City just before 8:20 p.m.
The stop occurred near the intersection of Prospect Avenue and Haden Terrace after the vehicle was observed traveling through the borough.
Police identified the vehicle as a Honda Accord that had been reported stolen.
Due to the nature of the stop, officers requested assistance from the Kearny Police Department before approaching the car.
Authorities said the vehicle ultimately yielded, and approximately five suspects were taken into custody.
During the investigation, officers recovered several weapons from inside the vehicle. The suspects were charged with receiving stolen property and weapons possession.
No injuries were reported, and police have not released additional details about the suspects or the weapons recovered.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
