Newark – Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray announced today that the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the death of a Newark husband and wife.
Following an autopsy, it was determined that Felicia Sharpe, 47, died from strangulation. The cause of death on her husband, Juan Silas, 48, is pending toxicology reports.
Newark Police responded to their Millington Avenue home where the two were discovered on Monday. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is active and ongoing. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
