Good morning and welcome to Saturday.

Snow is expected later today, with accumulations ranging from 2 to 4 inches in some areas.

Newark is expected to see about an inch by the time the system moves out.

In downtown Newark near Broad and Market Streets, temperatures are around 32 degrees. Sussex County is at 28 degrees, Morristown at 30, Paterson at 29, Caldwell at 30, and Edison at 31.

The National Weather Service says a fast-moving low-pressure system will bring snow to New Jersey this morning, prompting a winter weather advisory for parts of the region.

Today’s forecast calls for a mix of rain and snow mainly before 4 p.m., with a high near 39 degrees and an 80 percent chance of precipitation.
