Police and fire officials are investigating a crash that sent a vehicle into a fire department building in Newark’s West Ward early Wednesday morning.
Authorities say the incident occurred around 2:10 a.m., when emergency responders were dispatched to the South Orange Avenue and Sanford Avenue following reports of a motor vehicle crash with injuries.

Upon arrival, crews found a car that had struck a firehouse, with four occupants inside the vehicle, including a juvenile.

Officials said all four individuals suffered injuries, though none were believed to be life-threatening.
