Good morning, New Jersey ☀️

We’re waking up above freezing across Newark and much of North Jersey this early Thursday, a welcome change from the colder start earlier this week.

It’s 43 degrees in Newark, and a noticeable warm-up is on the way. Temperatures today will feel more comfortable than yesterday, making it one of the better days of the week—even pleasant enough for lunch outdoors in some spots.

If you’re heading out the door for work, you’ll still want a warm coat, but the chill won’t be nearly as harsh and conditions should feel far more manageable overall.

Today’s weather is running about 10 degrees above average. Some early cloud cover is expected, but once the sun rises, skies should brighten quickly.

According to the National Weather Service, mostly sunny conditions are expected, with a high near 48 degrees and northwest winds between 3 and 6 mph.
