Suspect Wanted for Stealing Groceries from Victim's Porch in Newark

Authorities in Newark request the public’s help identifying the female suspect, who took $139 worth of groceries delivered to a residence on January 6.

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. stated that the victim ordered groceries through Instacart, which were delivered to the front door of a home at 12:53 p.m. on Rockland Terrace between Smith Street and Stuyvesant Avenue.

Five minutes later, at 12:58 p.m., the victim’s doorbell camera captured the suspect walking up the stairs, taking the groceries, and fleeing eastbound on Rockland Terrace, according to Newark officials. 

Newark Police said the suspect wore a grey jacket, black pants, and grey shoes.
