We’re waking up to another cold morning in Newark and across the North Jersey region as temperatures hover near the freezing mark on this second half of the weekend.
Good morning, New Jersey.
We hope you had a great Saturday and stayed bundled up, you’ll want to do the same today. Expect conditions to remain near or below freezing through much of the day.
The good news: we’ll stay dry, with no precipitation in the area.
It is currently 26 degrees at Bergen Street and Clinton Avenue in Newark’s South Ward.
Temperatures are not expected to climb far from the freezing mark.
While we’ll be slightly warmer than yesterday and may see some sunshine peek through, it won’t be enough to bring real warmth, so keep those winter layers handy.
According to the National Weather Service, it will be mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 35.
Wind chill values range from 25 to 30. Calm wind becoming northwest 5 to 7 mph in the morning.
Sunday Night: partly cloudy, with a low around 22. Northwest wind around 5 mph, becoming calm in the evening.
