Morris County officials announced that it is their great honor to recognize Captain Jay C. Milos on his retirement after 30 years of dedicated service.

According to Morris County officials, Captain Milos began his career on February 19, 1996. His service began at the old Morris County Correctional Facility, located on Court Street in Morristown.
Captain Milos steadily advanced through the ranks to his current role as Support Services Captain, MCPO officials say. Throughout his tenure, Captain Milos demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the facility, mastering critical areas such as the Intake and Records Units and serving as a key leader within the Security Division, ensuring a secure environment.

Morris County officials said that Captain Milos is known for his tireless work ethic, as he rarely takes time off and consistently puts the needs of the correctional facility first.
His leadership was defined by a staff-first approach, ensuring team members had the tools and support necessary to perform their duties at the highest level. Captain Milos will be truly missed but never forgotten, according to MCPO officials.

MCPO officials said his legacy of professionalism, dedication, and integrity will continue to inspire for years to come.
