Good morning, and welcome to the first day of the new year.

According to the National Weather Service, we’re in for a dry but brisk day, so you’ll definitely want to keep the winter gear handy.

If you’re heading out early or catching public transportation, be sure to check NJ Transit for any holiday schedule adjustments — and bundle up, because the first day of the year will carry a wintry feel.
