Good morning. If you’re heading out to the bus stop or work around 4:30 a.m., temperatures are sitting near 31 degrees, but the wind is making it feel much colder.

The region is under an AccuWeather alert for strong, gusty winds, and residents should use caution for possible downed tree limbs and blowing debris on local streets.

Winds are expected to gust between 40 and 50 mph through the morning.

Temperatures will only reach the low 30s today, and for many areas it won’t feel like we ever get above freezing.

According to the National Weather Service, conditions will be partly sunny with a high near 32 degrees and wind chill values between 15 and 20.

West winds will range from 15 to 18 mph, with gusts up to 44 mph.

Tonight will remain cold and breezy, with mostly cloudy skies and a low around 24 degrees. Wind chill values will again fall between 15 and 20, with west winds of 10 to 13 mph and gusts up to 29 mph.
