Police in Livingston are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Sunday evening inside the Macy’s store at the Livingston Mall.
According to initial reports, officers responded shortly before 5:50 p.m. for a robbery in progress.
When officers arrived, they were informed that a male suspect allegedly displayed a knife before taking an unknown amount of cash and/or merchandise.
Witnesses reported seeing the suspect leave the area in a black SUV bearing a Michigan license plate, traveling toward South Orange Avenue.
No injuries were reported, and it remains unclear whether the incident began as a shoplifting attempt that escalated.
The investigation is active, and additional details are expected pending confirmation from Livingston Police.
