Police established a crime scene and launched an investigation following a shots-fired incident in Newark early Friday morning.
Officials said a ShotSpotter device activated in the area of 457 South 11th Street at approximately 12:20 a.m.
Responding officers arrived at the location and taped off the area after finding evidence consistent with a shooting.
Police searched the surrounding Northwest Ward neighborhood, and no serious injuries were immediately reported.
The suspect fled the scene and remains at large.
The investigation is ongoing, and no additional information was available as of early Friday.
