Jersey City police are investigating a shots-fired incident that startled a neighborhood early Christmas morning.
Shortly before 3 a.m., officers responded to the area of 823 Tonnelle Avenue after receiving reports of gunfire.
When officers arrived, they located evidence confirming a shooting had occurred and secured the scene with police tape.
After searching the surrounding area, no injuries were reported, and the suspect fled before police arrived.
The motive for the incident has not yet been released, and the investigation remains active.
