ALERT: Police Search for Missing Newark Teen

A search is underway in Newark for a teenage girl who has been missing for nearly a week, according to a statement from the Newark Police Department.

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. said authorities are seeking assistance from the public to help locate Jarolin Jimenez, 17, of Newark, who was officially reported missing on Thursday, December 18, 2025.
 

Police said Jarolin was last seen on Friday, December 12, at approximately 5 p.m. in the 400 block of Avon Avenue. 

She is described as Hispanic, about 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing approximately 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. 

At the time she was last seen, she was wearing a black jacket, a white sweater, and was carrying a book bag.

 

Investigators noted that family members believe the teen may be in the Brooklyn area, though her exact whereabouts remain unknown.
