Authorities in Newark request the public’s help identifying the female suspect in connection with two package thefts that occurred on Sunday, December 21.

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., stated that at approximately 4:17 p.m., a victim residing on Smith Street near Tremont Avenue observed a female suspect remove a delivered package from the porch.

The suspect left, but returned moments later and took a second package that had been delivered and placed on top of the victim’s mailbox, Newark officials said. She then fled northbound on Smith Street.
