Prosecutors said Jordan Woolfolk was charged with two counts of first-degree attempted murder, along with weapons offenses including unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and third-degree hindering.

The incident occurred around 1:26 a.m. on Tuesday, December 16, when officers from the Freehold Borough Police Department responded to reports of gunfire on Jackson Street.

Police found one victim suffering from a gunshot wound. That victim, a woman, was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

A second victim was also hospitalized, treated for non-life-threatening injuries, and later released.

An investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Bureau and Freehold Borough police identified Woolfolk as the alleged shooter.

He was arrested later the same day and taken to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, where he remains held pending his first appearance in Monmouth County Superior Court.
