New Jersey State Police are investigating a crash that claimed the life of a Middlesex County man early Thursday morning.
Troopers responded at approximately 12:46 a.m. to a motor vehicle crash in the southbound lanes of the Garden State Parkway near milepost 133.9 in Woodbridge Township.
According to a preliminary investigation, a Chrysler sedan was traveling southbound when it veered off the roadway, struck a guardrail, and overturned. 
The vehicle was operated by Calvin Laughlin III, a 39-year-old man from Piscataway.
As a result of the crash, Laughlin was ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation by New Jersey State Police, and no additional information has been released at this time.
