Authorities in Hunterdon County are investigating a serious pedestrian strike that left one person critically injured in Flemington on Tuesday evening.
Police were called around 5 p.m. to the area of U.S. Route 202 near Reaville Avenue after receiving reports of an injured person in the roadway.
Responding officers located an unidentified individual suffering from severe injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and was last reported to be in life-threatening condition.
Officials have not yet confirmed whether the driver remained at the scene or cooperated with investigators.
The incident remains under active investigation by the Flemington Police Department in coordination with the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office.
