According to a statement from law enforcement, Mark was last seen on November 25, 1991, walking toward the playground area of a county park around 4 p.m.

A park guard was the final person to see him before he disappeared. Despite extensive searches and decades of investigation, the case remains unsolved.

The Middle Township Police Department, Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office, and the FBI all continue to work the case.

Officials said they regularly review old leads, examine new information, and use updated investigative tools in hopes of uncovering what happened that afternoon.

“Even after 34 years, our department is committed to finding answers for Mark and his family,” Middle Township Police Chief Tracey Super said in a statement. “We will never stop pursuing justice.”

Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland also emphasized the ongoing effort, saying the case has had a lasting impact on the community.

According to Prosecutor Sutherland, investigators remain “steadfast” and will continue revisiting every lead and utilizing every available resource.

Anyone with information—no matter how small—is urged to contact Middle Township Police at 609-465-8700, the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office at 609-465-1135, Crime Stoppers at 609-463-2800, or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678
