Wynona’s House Child Advocacy Center has kicked off its 2025 Fight Food Insecurity Campaign, an effort aimed at ensuring children and families receiving services never have to choose between healing and having enough to eat.
The initiative launches as the community transitions from Thanksgiving into Giving Tuesday, a key moment for nonprofit support.
Food insecurity continues to affect families across New Jersey, including many served by Wynona’s House.
Early holiday outreach has already made a meaningful impact. Through donations and community partnerships:
• 56 turkeys and complete holiday meal boxes were delivered to families in the Family Advocacy Program.
• 110 turkeys were distributed to families at a local school through the Prevention by Design Community Coalition.
• The 100 warm Thanksgiving meals were provided through partner organizations to reach additional households.

In total, 166 families and 100 individuals have already received assistance.
Wynona’s House supports more than 950 children and non-offending family members annually, many coping with trauma, abuse, or violence.
Executive Director Robert Crocker said food insecurity is increasingly becoming a barrier to recovery, noting that children struggling with nutrition face heightened challenges in healing from stress and trauma.
The center hopes Giving Tuesday contributions will help extend food support throughout the year.
Donations—whether one-time or recurring—directly fund food relief efforts and help families stay engaged in crucial services.

Wynona’s House continues its mission of coordinating investigative, treatment, and prevention services for child victims while working toward a community where children feel safe and supported.
