NJ Lottery officials announced that a Lottery player in Cape May County matched all five white balls, missing only the Power Ball, to win $1 million in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing.
No player in the multi-state game captured the jackpot, lottery officials said.
According to NJ Lottery officials, the winning numbers were 07, 08, 15, 19, and 28. The Power Ball was 03, and the multiplier was 03.
Starns Village Super Market, 1700 Route 47 South in Rio Grande, sold the ticket, lottery officials stated.
NJ Lottery officials said that the jackpot has grown to $719 million heading into Saturday’s drawing. The cash value is $333.3 million.
Since Sept. 8, when this current run began, 22 New Jersey players have won prizes of at least $50,000, according to NJ Lottery officials.
Lottery officials say this includes two $1 million prizes—one in Cape May and one in Camden counties—and two $100,000 prizes—one in Morris and one in Warren counties.
The previous Powerball jackpot reached $1.8 billion before being hit on September 6, the second-highest lottery jackpot in U.S. history, lottery officials said. The prize was split by players in Missouri and Texas.
Along with that prize, four other Powerball jackpots have been won in 2025:
· Jan. 18, $328.5 million, Oregon
· March 29, $526.5 million, California
· April 26, $167.3 million, Kentucky
· May 31, $204.5 million, California.

NJ Lottery officials said, additionally, that on Wednesday, the Double Play drawing’s numbers were 06, 19, 28, 39, and 53; the Double Play ball was 15.
The Double Play is a separate drawing for players who opted in for the Double Play feature on their tickets, lottery officials say. The top prize is $10 million.
