UPDATE: Second Victim Dies Following Paterson Moped Crash Involving Truck

A tragic motor vehicle crash in Paterson has now claimed the lives of two people, authorities confirmed Sunday. 
According to information released by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, the deadly collision occurred around 11:06 p.m. on November 22, in the area of Cianci Street and Market Street.
 

Paterson Police responded to a report of a serious crash and found two individuals suffering from significant injuries. 

Investigators say the victims had been riding a black moped when they collided with a tractor-trailer. 

Both were rushed to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for emergency treatment.
 

One of the victims, an unidentified male, was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital. 

The second occupant, a juvenile who was initially listed in critical condition, has now also died from injuries sustained in the crash.

 

Authorities say the investigation remains active and ongoing as detectives continue to gather details about what led to the collision.
