A dramatic, miles-long police pursuit ended with the arrest of two suspects Wednesday night following an armed carjacking outside a popular Hudson County waterfront restaurant.

According to preliminary information, the incident began around 9:10 p.m. when Weehawken Police received reports of an armed carjacking in progress near the Chart House restaurant in the 1700 block of Harbor Boulevard.
When officers arrived, the vehicle owner told police that armed individuals had stolen their Range Rover and fled the area.
Police quickly located the suspects and initiated a pursuit that stretched across multiple municipalities , reaching as far as Clifton before the stolen vehicle turned back toward Newark.
The chase ended after the suspects bailed out of the vehicle in the 30s block of 2nd Avenue near Roseville Avenue, where officers engaged in a foot pursuit and safely apprehended both individuals without further incident.

No physical injuries were reported.
