Somerset County authorities have charged a Bridgewater Township school teacher with cyber-harassment and stalking after an investigation revealed she allegedly targeted the juvenile victim of a convicted field hockey coach.
The details were outlined in a statement released by Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald.
According to investigators, the case began after the 2025 conviction of field hockey coach Brett Clay, who admitted attempting to have sexual contact with a teenage player he coached.
Following Clay’s conviction, the victim’s family began receiving anonymous handwritten letters containing graphic and harassing statements about the teen.
Friends and classmates also reported receiving similar letters.
By May 2025, detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit launched an investigation, eventually discovering that the harassment extended to social media.
Anonymous messages sent to the victim’s friends through an online app contained equally disturbing and defamatory claims.
Detectives traced the social media activity to accounts linked to 56-year-old Tracy Biondi of Basking Ridge.
Investigators say Biondi, despite Clay’s admission of guilt, embarked on a sustained effort to intimidate and revictimize the teen by spreading false allegations through letters and online messages.
Officials also noted that Biondi, who works as a teacher in Bridgewater Township and has connections to the field hockey community, publicly supported Clay during his criminal case and attempted to rally other families on his behalf.
On November 13, detectives arrested Biondi outside her home without incident.

A court-authorized search warrant was executed at the residence as part of the ongoing investigation.
Biondi was charged with cyber-harassment, stalking, and harassment and was taken to the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
