The upcoming location, set for 235 Prospect Avenue, will occupy roughly 150,000 square feet, making it one of the larger retail additions to the busy commercial corridor.

The plaza already houses a Whole Foods Market and several smaller retailers, creating a hub for local shopping and dining in the area.

In a statement, Target said it looks forward to becoming part of the community.

“We’re excited to bring an easy, affordable, and convenient shopping experience to new guests in the West Orange community with this new Target store,” the company said.

While an exact opening date has not yet been announced, company representatives said more details about the store’s layout, features, and services tailored for local shoppers will be shared as the project nears completion.
