It’s a chilly but exciting Wednesday morning across Newark and the North Jersey region as residents wake up to post-election results, and the news of New Jersey’s second female governor taking office.
Good morning, New Jersey!
It’s a crisp fall start, but today is shaping up to be one of the nicest days of the week, and also the warmest.
Temperatures will rise into the mid-60s with a mix of sun and clouds, perfect for those taking in the midweek sunshine before conditions change later tonight.
According to the National Weather Service, today will be mostly sunny with a high near 64 degrees. Light southwest winds will increase through the morning, gusting as high as 31 mph by afternoon.
However, residents should brace for strong winds later this evening.
A slight chance of showers is expected between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m., followed by gusts reaching up to 48 mph overnight. Temperatures will dip to around 45 degrees.
Enjoy the mild weather while it lasts, New Jersey. Winds are on the way tonight!
