Authorities in Hudson County announced that the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Bayonne Police Department are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred on Monday, November 3.
Acting Hudson County Prosecutor Wayne Mello stated that shortly before 10:20 p.m., the Bayonne Police Department was notified of a dispute at 17 Meadow Street. Responding officers located a male – later identified as Richard Arcos, 41, of Garfield –with an apparent stab wound.
He was pronounced dead just after 11:15 p.m., according to Hudson County officials. The Cause and Manner of Death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.

During the course of the investigation, Hudson County officials say, Andrew Fuentes, 28, of Bayonne, was charged with Aggravated Manslaughter, Possession of a Weapon (knife) for an Unlawful Purpose, and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon (knife).
He was taken into custody at the scene, and this matter is being investigated as a domestic dispute, HCPO authorities said.
