Firefighters in Clifton, with help from neighboring departments, battled a fast-moving blaze that tore through a business on Tuesday evening, officials said.

The fire broke out shortly before 6 p.m. at 997 Paulison Avenue.
When crews arrived, they found heavy flames shooting from the roof of an auto body shop and immediately called for a three-alarm response to bring in mutual aid.
Firefighters stretched multiple hose lines to attack the fire from several angles as thick smoke filled the area.

After about an hour of intense work, crews brought the blaze under control.
