Spooky Season has arrived here in New Jersey, RLS Metro Media friends & family! Hi there, and it’s Najla here, so psyched to talk about my favorite holiday! From the leaves changing colors to the AMAZING fabulous costumes and activities to do all month long, who doesn’t love Halloween?

It's a great time to be who or what you want and just have fun under the moon. Maybe you will see a ghost or even a werewolf!

Mayor Daniel J. Reiman and the Carteret Borough Council were proud to present the annual Carteret Fall Festival and Halloween Parade, which took place on Saturday, October 25th, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Carteret Park.

The Fall Fest is a long-standing tradition in Carteret that has been held throughout the Mayor’s Administration, officials told RLS Media. There was a moon bounce, face painting, pumpkin picking, music with a DJ, food/drinks, and fun games for the little ones.
“Carteret offers a variety of family-friendly events and festivals throughout the year,” Mayor Reiman said.

“Fall Fest is among the best of them, with free family activities that make the scenic autumn season even more fun.”
“We are also proud to host our Annual Carteret Holiday Festival in December, Carteret Independence Day Festival in July, Latin Fest in July, and our traditional Ethnic Day Festival in September. Carteret is truly a destination for families year-round.”

From kids running around with their pumpkins bigger than them to all the candy they were getting from trunk or treating, it was such a perfect fall day! I even got to take a pumpkin home, a nice way to end the day.
“Sweater weather is my favorite time of year, where all you see is pumpkin spice and appl everything. Just love it!” someone exclaimed.

“Kids smiling and adults too, that’s all you could ask for at these festivals. Everybody is having a good time, no matter what age,” a parent explained.
According to Carteret officials, to keep the children safe, the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret have established special Halloween curfew rules to help protect children, prevent vandalism, and ensure everyone in our community can enjoy a safe and fun holiday.

Especially on a weekend like this, full of fun and mischief:

October 30 – Mischief Night
-Anyone 16 years old and under must be off the streets between 7:00 p.m. and
6:00 a.m. the next morning.
-This applies no matter what day of the week October 30 falls on.
-Being in any public place during these hours is not allowed.

October 31 – Halloween Night
-Anyone 16 years old and under is not allowed to go “trick-or-treating”
after 7:00 p.m.
-Trick-or-treating must end by 7:00 p.m. sharp.

These rules will be enforced by the Carteret Police Department and the Borough Officials to ensure we are all able to have fun and be safe that weekend.

Even if you missed out on the fall festival in the park, you have all weekend to celebrate All Hallows’ Eve, be the alter version of you that you always wanted to be. So, make sure to plan ahead, have fun, and stay safe, Carteret, for all your spooky plans.

Happy Halloween from your RLS Metro Media family!
