A 17-year-old male has been waived up to Criminal Court and will face prosecution as an adult in connection with the January 2025 fatal shooting of 15-year-old Cianna Lee (pictured), Acting Hudson County Prosecutor Wayne Mello announced.
The defendant, identified as Willie Shuler of Jersey City, is charged with murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon.
Authorities said the shooting occurred on January 18, 2025, just after 11 p.m. in the area of Martin Luther King Drive and Union Street.
Responding Jersey City Police officers later found two female victims inside a vehicle on Oak Street.
