Authorities in Newark request the public’s help in identifying the male suspects in connection with an e-bike theft that occurred on Saturday, October 4.

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., stated that a victim reported that at approximately 2:30 p.m., he secured his e-bike by locking it to a railing outside of a store in the 700 block of Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Boulevard before entering a store to shop.

When the victim returned at approximately 4 p.m., the e-bike was gone, according to Newark officials.

Newark officials stated that detectives investigating this incident describe Suspect #1 as a Black male wearing a white shirt. Suspect #2 was observed with Suspect #1 after the theft.
