New Jersey

By: Richard L. Smith

New Jersey is among about three dozen states impacted by a recall of Costco’s Kirkland Signature Ahi Tuna Wasabi Poke, according to a statement released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Western United Fish Company (Annasea Foods Group) is recalling 3,314.7 pounds of the product, Costco Item #17193, with a Sell By date of September 22, 2025, after green onions used in the tuna were found to have possible Listeria contamination.

The tuna is packaged in clear plastic clamshells marked with a Pack Date of September 18, 2025, and a Sell By Date of September 22, 2025.

Listeria can cause serious illness in young children, the elderly, or people with weakened immune systems.

While no illnesses have been reported, customers are urged not to eat the product and to return it to Costco for a refund.
