Authorities in Passaic County are searching for several suspects linked to a string of armed robberies that shook the city early Monday morning.
The first reported incident occurred around 2:45 a.m. near 999 Market Street, where police responded to reports of an armed robbery in progress.
When officers arrived, two women told investigators that three men jumped out of a car armed with guns and demanded personal belongings.
The suspects took an undisclosed amount of items before firing shots at the women. Fortunately, none of the victims were struck, and no injuries were reported.
Roughly 30 minutes later, police were called to another robbery with shots fired in the 50 block of Marshall Street.
Investigators believe the same suspects were involved in both incidents. No injuries were reported in the second robbery.
The suspects remain at large as detectives continue their active investigation.
