Authorities in Newark request the public’s help identifying the suspect, who entered a victim’s vehicle and removed several items on September 16.
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. stated that the victim parked his vehicle at approximately 9 p.m. on September 14, in the 100 block of South 8th Street.
Two days later, the vehicle’s dash cam recorded the suspect, a Black male, entering the car at approximately 2:30 a.m., Newark officials said. He ransacked it and took several items before he left.
According to Newark officials, the suspect, who has a heart tattoo on the left side of his face, wore light-colored jeans and a dark-colored T-shirt with the words “feel good” written across the chest.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information on the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
