Irvington residents will soon have the chance to gain lifesaving skills at a free community training session hosted by The Bridge Inc./Imani Center Action Group.
The training, which covers CPR, First Aid, and AED use, will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Imani Center, located at 1253 Clinton Avenue in Irvington (East Wing parking lot of Irvington High School).
Open to the public, the event welcomes participants ages 16 and older. Attendees will not only receive hands-on instruction but also leave with same-day certification, all at no cost.
Organizers say the goal is to equip community members with the skills to step in during real-life emergencies.

“These are the kinds of skills that can save a neighbor, a friend, or even a loved one,” the group emphasized.
Funding for the program is provided by the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General (OAG) and HFNJ.
