Residents across the Newark and North Jersey region are waking up to another brisk morning that feels more like October than early September.

At 4:30 a.m., temperatures dipped to 57 degrees at the corner of Bergen Street and Chancellor Avenue in Newark’s South Ward, making for a chilly start to the day.
Those heading out early, especially students and commuters, are advised to grab a light jacket.
The cooler air is even more noticeable further north, with Sussex and Morris counties seeing temperatures low enough to trigger frost advisories, particularly around Sparta.
According to the National Weather Service, it’s shaping up to be a beautiful Tuesday after the early morning chill.
Forecast for Today: Sunny, with a high near 75. Northeast wind between 6 to 10 mph.
Tonight: A 30% chance of rain, mainly after 5 a.m., with mostly cloudy skies and a low around 57.

As fall continues to flirt with the Garden State, residents can expect fluctuating conditions as the week progresses. Enjoy the sunshine today, New Jersey.
