Acting Hudson County Prosecutor Wayne Mello stated that Captain Javier Toro, commander of the Special Victims Unit, is among the 254 law enforcement officers from 20 countries who completed the 10-week program that focuses on training in advanced communication, leadership, and physical fitness.
To be accepted to the FBI National Academy, participants must be proven professionals within their respective departments, according to Hudson County officials.

Hudson County officials said that in his tenure, he has been assigned to the Homicide Unit and has previously served as a commander with the Hudson County Rapid Deployment Force.
