A massive four-alarm fire tore through a Clifton residence Saturday night, prompting a large-scale response from local firefighters and mutual aid crews from surrounding towns.Just before 9 p.m., Clifton fire units were dispatched to 288 Demott Avenue after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting a house engulfed in flames.
Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a single-family home fully involved, with flames rapidly threatening homes on all three sides of the property.

Fire officials quickly upgraded the response to a four-alarm fire, calling in additional workforce and resources from neighboring towns.
As the intense heat and flames made the structure too dangerous to enter, crews transitioned into a defensive strategy, attacking the blaze from the outside using multiple water lines.
Despite the ferocity of the fire, over two dozen firefighters worked tirelessly for nearly two hours to bring the situation under control.
Miraculously, no injuries were reported, but the home was destroyed. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
