According to information released by Paterson city officials, Mayor Andre Sayegh will join residents and visitors this weekend to celebrate the Great Falls Festival 2025, a three-day event showcasing food, rides, games, live music, and family-friendly entertainment.

The festival began yesterday and Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 4 p.m. at the historic Great Falls National Historical Park, one of the city’s most iconic landmarks.

This year’s celebration holds special meaning as it is dedicated to the loving memory of Jacqueline Murray, who served as the City of Paterson’s Municipal Clerk and was admired for her years of service to the community.

Festivalgoers can look forward to an array of food vendors, carnival rides, interactive games, and live performances throughout the weekend, creating an atmosphere that blends the city’s vibrant culture with the scenic backdrop of the Great Falls.

The festivities will conclude with a spectacular fireworks show on Monday, September 1, at 8:30 p.m., bringing residents together to close out the holiday weekend in true Paterson fashion.

City officials encourage families and visitors from across New Jersey to attend the annual tradition, which highlights the history, diversity, and community spirit that define Paterson.
