Authorities in Passaic County have launched an investigation after a person was found dead in an alleyway in Paterson on Sunday evening.
According to officials, police responded to multiple 911 calls reporting an unconscious and unresponsive individual near 785 Main Street around 5:00 p.m.
When officers arrived, they located the victim in the alley and quickly confirmed the person was deceased at the scene.
The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office was notified and is now overseeing the investigation. While the cause of death remains under review, authorities have not immediately indicated any signs of foul play.
An autopsy and further examination will help determine the exact circumstances.
