Authorities in Paterson are actively investigating a stabbing incident that occurred Saturday night and left one individual injured.
According to initial reports, the incident happened at approximately 8:00 p.m. near the intersection of 7th Avenue and East 19th Street.
Police officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving calls about an injured person in the area.
Upon arrival, officers found an unidentified individual suffering from a stab wound to the back.
The victim was treated at the scene and then transported to St. Joseph's Hospital, where they remain in stable condition.
At this time, the motive behind the stabbing is unclear, and no additional information has been released.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
